Exhibitions
The New Jersey State Museum presents a full range of exhibitions in
its four collection areasArchaeology/Ethnology, Cultural History,
Fine Art, and Natural History. Collections are displayed thematically.
Changing exhibitions are developed by State Museum staff or loaned to
the Museum from outside sources, thus providing the public with new
and exciting experiences throughout the year.
Most changing exhibitions combine objects from several collection areas
to tell stories in a comprehensive way. All exhibitions are designed
to communicate information to visitors of all ages and expertise.
Notice to Visitors:
The Museum's Main Building is closed to the public while we install
new, state-of-the-art heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems. The Planetarium is also closed for renovations.
